Cursed Hat!!

It had bad mojo all over it.

I started a Shedir hat with Caro's destashed Cotton-Ease to pass the time while I waited for my knit picks order to come in with yarn for the Badly Drawn Boy hat. I wanted something complicated yet brief and it seemed perfect. But alas, my gauge was seriously flawed and I was really far into it by the time I figured that out. So now you see it now you don't.

Well the whole fiasco delayed my rock star knitting plans so the New York trip and the Badly Drawn Boy concert came and went with no hat. We had a blast in New York! Shopped, saw concerts, wandered the city, almost froze to death, ate like kings, and my Brooks Farm Duet Clapotis had a grand Manhattan debut.

If that's the same scarf I saw when we went looking for a pub and ended up at the Casino El Camino, then it's fantastic.

I am still glad you explained what "Brooks Farm Duet Clapotis" is, because otherwise I would have thought it was some strange rural-suburban veneral disease.

Hey -- you two look an awful lot like people turned away from a Daily Show taping.
